Ugly Wonder is an publication companion to an exhibition exploring Postmodernist Architecture, Graphic design and the Las Vegas Strip

The Brief
The aim of this project was to create a catalog book as print material to accompany an exhibition on postmodern architecture and design. The book features an essay on the topic and a mix of both accompanying secondary sources and work I made inspired by them.
About
This book design takes spirit from the featured designers by breaking modernist conventions of type and by using and altering secondary source work in a way that is normally taboo for an editorial piece, such as collage illustrations from photos of Las Vegas architecture and aerial maps of the Strip from “Learning from Las Vegas” by Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown.
